EMW is pleased to announce that Dr. Kamal Raychaudhuri has joined our team as Director of Technology, effective October 20, 2003.

Dr. Raychaudhuri started his professional career as a Research Fellow and Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts, and then joined AT&T Bell Laboratories as a Systems Engineer in Microwave Radio, where he worked in the Dual-polarization Radio Program. Following that, he moved on to Lightwave and Cross-connect Planning, where he made sustained contributions in the field of network architectures, specializing in survivability, restoration and network management. Following a path from theoretical to practical applications Dr. Raychaudhuri applied his talents to the world of market management and sales support. Here he was instrumental in expanding the global bandwidth available for high-speed computing and telecommunications networking.

Dr. Raychaudhuri is a recognized industry expert and holds two patents in telecommunications, has over fifty publications, and has had numerous conference engagements as a technical spokesperson, panelist, papers committee member and chair. He holds a doctorate in Physics and a master’s degree in Computer and Information Science.

In his position as Director of Technology, Dr. Raychaudhuri will help define what products and services EMW will bring to the global marketplace, setting marketing strategies, assessing competing technologies for best match to client’s needs, and supporting bid and proposal activities across the breadth of EMW’s initiatives. While directly supported by the Operations VP, Dr. Raychaudhuri will assist all departments and divisions within EMW (Business Development, International Operations, and Executive Management).
