EMW wins NATO contract for CIS Services in Mazar-e-Sharif

Herndon, Virginia — EMW, Inc. has won a NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA) contract to provide Communication and Information Systems (CIS) services in support of Camp Marmal in Mazar-e-Sharif in Afghanistan. Camp Marmal is an installation built by the German Bundeswehr. The camp, at over two square kilometers in size, is the largest German military facility outside of Germany. The current German IT network operating concept in Camp Marmal is being revised, and the equipment currently in use in the interim IT network will eventually be relocated to Germany. EMW will install and configure the Local Area Network (LAN), CiscoWorks and Voice services for Camp Marmal with the aid of NAMSA and BwB employees.

The project scope includes:

• Installation and configuration of switches
• Installation and configuration of network management tools;
• Configuration of Call Managers
• Establishment and execution of a migration plan
• Testing
• Documentation and Training
